Artist Lazarus Ioannou has been officialy juried in by the resident artists and Members of the Board to become their newest exhibiting member of the historic Southampton Gallery & Art School. Laz is proud to accept their representation, and hopes to become an integral part of this cultural institution. “Visionary Award” at Southampton Gallery:
On Friday, April 11, 2008, Laz made his northern art debut at the Southampton Gallery’s 6th Annual ‘Feast For the Eyes’ juried art gala, in Southampton, Ontario, Canada. His painting ‘Oliphorest Tree Bird’ was selected from over 150 submissions to be honoured with the coveted “Visionary Award” by esteemed judges Rachel Monckton (Collections Manager for Tom Thomson Art Gallery, Owen Sound), and local established artists Jean Francis and Gary McLaughlin.
